May 9, 2006 500 ml bottle - Poured up a very deep amber color with about half an inch of creamy off white head. The head was slow to diminish so I drank it. Nice lacing was left on the glass. The aroma was of sweet malt and a hint of spice. The taste is lightly sweet and finishes with a tang that may come from the carbonation. Very clean aftertaste. Nice brew.

May 7, 2006 Bottle. Pours brown with very little pebbly head. Hints of toasted nut. A bit of a bandaid odor to the finish.

Apr 18, 2006 16.9oz - Aroma of toasted malts and sprouts. A little nutty. Pours transparent red-brown with medium head and good lacing. Flavor is toasty, earty, malty, with barley, sprouts, and nuts. Palate is kind of thin and sticky. Not bad

Apr 16, 2006 Brown with clear red shine, big bubbled head stays long, leaves laces; Huge nose, deep, first loads of grapefruit (like the carbonation blows in your face), later notes of soil, dark baked white bread, loads of character; Quite bitter/ acidy body, a bit to the watery thin side; Long but again watery thin finish that has a chewy bitterness and the same aroma as the nose. I find that the character of nose and body isn’t all that coherent.

Apr 9, 2006 (bottle, with many thanks to joss!) Clear dark ruby brown colour with a stable foamy beige head. Sweet toasted malt aroma with caramel, chocolate and herbal hops. Sweetbitter flavour, medium body, very smooth mouthfeel. Sweet toastmalty taste with caramel and herbal hops; medium dry lingering toasty and hopbitter finish with a lasting aftertaste.

Mar 28, 2006 Tasty, with a hint of spice. Pours a golden-brown with good head. Finish was okay, but not as long or good as I was hoping.

Mar 24, 2006 Bottle (best regard to joss): Dark amber coloured with red sparks, small, stable beige head; stronger aroma of roasted malt with a touch of coffee (almost a smoked aroma); slightly sweetish flavour with some bitterness in the wings; slightly sweetish, but later dry "roasted" malty and bitter finish. A light bodied goodie.........
