Commercial Description:
Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

Pours a clear rather dark brown with reddish hues. The head is tan and bubbly evaporating leisurely to leave a quarter inch head. The aroma is very sweat and caramely, rich. It is a very nicely sweet caramel and chocolate malts on the tongue with a gentle lingering bittterness of dark chocolate and I still sense caramel. Rich and thick in the mouth with a playful tingle this is very nice.

Nice caramely tasting beer, malty caramel smell, translucent dark brown color, really tasty and drinkable with plenty of caramel malt flavor.

Dunkeltastical. Dark roasted color and taste. One of the better dunkels I’ve had.

Beautiful dark caramel color. Wonderful earthy-chocolately-caramely taste. Not very sweet, but also not bitter. Highly recommended.

500 mL bottle. Pours mahagony with a medium tan frothy head that lasts a while. Aroma is yeast (barn, earth) and caramel malt (grain, meal) and maple. Malty, yeasty flavor, low sweetness , no bitterness, acidity. Medium bodied and smooth, light fizzy palate.

Outstanding example of Munich Dunkel. This beer pours to a beautiful, bright, deep chestnut color with a nice white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose on this beer is excellent with lots of good aromas of sweet malt, light toast and nuts. The palate is round and clean with lots of good sweet malt, toast and nutty malt flavor. This beer finishes with more good malt character then ends with enough herbal hop bittereness to round this one out to perfection. A great match to hearty German fare, and BBQ dishes.

Very nice. Pours a dark brown with a nice thick dense head. Aromas of dark malt, yeast, and a slight smoke flavor.A fresh yeast taste with an underlying smokey flavor. This would be a great session beer.

Clear brown body with light tan head. Aroma filled with malts, both sweet and toasted. The flavor has notes of bread, toffee and sweet fruits. You’ll notice a bitterness, but only if you’re paying attention. Medium to thin body — a little too thin. Smooth, refreshing.
