Commercial Description:
Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

500 ml. bottle. Pours a light brown/red with a strong white foamy head. The aroma is pretty light; some malts and a sweet brown sugar. The taste is really smooth and fairly light; mostly rich malts with some dark fruit, brown sugar and perhaps some coffee. Really easy to drink, but also really good.

16oz bottle-A dark amber light brown body with a nice tight off white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and slight coffee. Taste of this medium bodied brew is of malt, chocolate, caramel, coffee, and finishes with more caramel and a mix of sweetness and dryness. An enjoyable dunkel.

Dark amber with a rocky tan head. Pine hop aroma mixed with molasses. Toasted malty taste with coffee notes. Oily texture. Light bitter aftertaste, slight dry lager finish.

Bottle Pours a medium mahogany with a nice foamy light tan head. Aroma is of dark malts mostly. Flavor is of wod barrels malts, and a slightly sour taste with not much hops. Good body and smooth feel. Moderate carbonation. Woody, slightly chalky finish.

Bottle from a great trade with Koelschtrinker (thanks!). A brown beer with a creamy, quite dark, beige head. Malty aroma with roastiness and caramel. Flavor is sweet and malty with bread and caramel. A slightly bitter finish with some smoke notes. Medium-bodied. Good one!

Pour was a brown that displayed red when held to the light. The head was huge, thick, creamy and beautiful. The aroma was nutty and lightly fruity. The flavor was hazelnut, and some other stuff that I couldn’t pin down. Just outstanding beer. Dunkle is quickly becoming one of my favorite styles.
