Commercial Description:
Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

Bottle from BevMo. A nice dunkel, not that I’ve really had enough dunkels to know what a good one is. Copper color with a small off-white head. Sweet malty aroma. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, and sweet plum at the finish. Nice smooth mouthfeel with a medium body.

Roasty, slight chocolate aroma, a gorgeous dark hue, taste was a smooth almost foanmy, dark roast flavor, edged toward sweetness then dried out, flavors were inticingly subdued, which I suppose this style should be. A great session brew

Pours to a luminescent, fiery red. Strong aroma of brown rice and bread crust with some fruit and cinnamon tones underneath. A little wheat leads the flavor, succeeded by a dark grain taste, peat, honey and molasses; sweetened, sugar dipped unleavened bread of the heavier variety. Crispy and medium in the mouth. Bread in a bottle.

Pours a clear medium brown color with a thick and lasting head that leaves a great web of lacing all the way to the end. Aroma promises that this will be a Malt Bomb© Magjayran (that’s right, it’s my term). Hints of apple juice and caramel in the nose. Flavor has a bit toffee and a bit fruit and very sweet from start to finish. Problem is, it seems a little watered down.

Pours an attractive deep ruddy brown with a decent cream colored head. The nose is roasted malt and caramel. The flavor is more of that, with the toasted malt standing out in a smokey, smooth way. Quite smooth on the palate as well.

Bottle. Dark-reddish amber appearance. Very rich with strong presence of chocolatey malts. The commercial description is dead-on with the hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish, and I found this to be very attractive. Full-bodied with a satisfying mouthfeel.

color is deep brown, thin tan head. aroma is malty as hell, slightly nutty with slight alcohol. Flavor is medium-bodied, with chocolate and dark fruits, and a little leather. Hops are not apparent to my tongue.

Aroma is a roasted caramely scent. Color is a deep amber with a tall tight head. Taste is nutty, roasted and lightly sweet. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a nice smooth, soft feel. Finish comes in with a mild roasted malt flavor then a light sweet caramel taste and end with a nice bitterness and faint hop flavor. After taste is a dry caramel taste. This is a very tasty Dunkel, I would happily have another.
