| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 10, 2004 Poured reddish-brown with an off-white head that left a thin lacing on the glass. Faint spicy aroma. Tasted rather thin, with some roasted malt. A rather unpleasant soy sauce character is evident. One of the poorest selections I’ve had from Ayinger. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 12, 2008 Deep, cloudy brown pour with a big foamy head that lasts and laces. Aroma of roasted caramel malt and milk chocolate, with some bready grain and fruit. Flavor follows the same pattern. Medium bodied and smooth on the palate. Just a touch of bitterness on the finish. Very nice! Cartoonkhaki (1150), Brantford, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 16, 2003 It actualy surprised me to find this where I live. My town often gets boring with its selections since I've already had everything they have to offer. I rarely get a chance to be surprised. Has a dustiness in the aroma that was very appealing. Rich amber colour with large head that ended up on my table. My nose could actually taste a bitter with this however the actual taste wasn't that bitter at all. Well balanced and smooth. However I don't find it that complex. A treat for where I live. mephisto (1144), Taiwan
