Commercial Description:
Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

500ml bottle. Pours a translucent dark brown, with a fading off-white head.Aroma is light with caramel, anise, malts and coffee. Flavor mirrors the aroma with a bit of a sweet syrup thrown in. The mouthfeel was a bit thin and watery, and the carbonation was very light. Finish was dry, astringent and saccharine sweet. I would have rated this beer significantly higher had the palate not been so weak, and the finish so sweet.

(Bottle). Malty aroma. Hazy reddish deep brown color, with small tan head. Taste is smooth, malty, and a bit earthy. Nice light finish. A pleasurable beer.

Toasty and malty and delicious. Really has a hardy, manly flavor to it. It doesn’t just look dark, it tastes dark.

Red brown pour with an off white creamy head. Nose of toffee, vanilla, plum, oak...very nice. Flavor is bready, fairly smooth on the palate, slight smokiness and dark roast as well. Easy to taste. The finish is a little thin, otherwise this is a pretty darn good brew here.

Faint nose of caramel, translucent brown. I thought it was on the thin side. Somewhat dry finish.

Nice copper color with a medium white head. The aroma and flavor had some nice malty, caramel, lightly hoppy tones. Bubbly feel. Decent.

Clear red/brown with a tannish head. Cleen hoppy, grassy, Saaz-y nose with a nice touch of caramel. Lightly sweet, bready malt flavors with hints of chocolate. Decent hop kick at the end. Those boys in Aying seem to know their lager from a hole in the ground...

Aroma of sweet dark malts, grains, and yeast. Darkish amber color with a small tan head. Smooth flavor that gets sweeter in the finish. Light bodied.
