| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Aug 26, 2007 500ml bottle. Pours a translucent dark brown, with a fading off-white head.Aroma is light with caramel, anise, malts and coffee. Flavor mirrors the aroma with a bit of a sweet syrup thrown in. The mouthfeel was a bit thin and watery, and the carbonation was very light. Finish was dry, astringent and saccharine sweet. I would have rated this beer significantly higher had the palate not been so weak, and the finish so sweet. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA

Taste is smooth, malty, and a bit earthy. Nice light finish. A pleasurable beer. biznizness (956), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA

Flavor is bready, fairly smooth on the palate, slight smokiness and dark roast as well. Easy to taste. The finish is a little thin, otherwise this is a pretty darn good brew here.
