Commercial Description:
Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

8/8/07 From the bottle. Aroma is caramel malt forward followed by dried fruit, coffee, breadlike notes and sour munich malt. Appearance is medium brown, clean, with a medium off-white head. Flavor is sour bready malt forward with very light sweetness, roast character, nuttiness, with low bittering and no hop character. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with light cream and a very dry finish. Overall, clean with a lot of complicated bready notes.

Pours a clear, dark amber color with a big tan head that lingers. It leaves a fair amount of lacing on the glass. Strong aroma of malted barley. Very good malty flavor with a nice sweet fruity finish and no hop bitterness. This one is very smooth and highly drinkable.

Dark brown with a initially thick and rocky brown head. Smoked malt aroma with a touch of chocolate. Taste is semi-sweet chocolate, light coffee, roasted malt. Somewhat sticky finish, but clean, nonetheless. Just a step below what I would consider heavily carbonated. It's not gonna blow your socks off compared to a lot of beers, but as far as dunkels go... it's top notch. Nice brew.

Pours a clear brown with a slight reddish tint and small white head that dissipates rather quickly. Aroma is plum, raisin, peace, fig, and a candy like malt. Sweet dark fruit notes are accentuated in the malt character, subsiding into cherry and cranberry. Flavor starts with a mild resinous hop presence and flows into a somewhat sweeter, overripe fruit nature. Palate is lightly prickling, and silky, but not syrupy. Leaves a sugary coating with mild dryness. Very nice.

Half liter bottle, for export. There is a nice, rich head on this brew, and a sweet, tangy aroma that is superb! Mellow roast grain flavor - toasted bread, with light hop bitterness. The malt base is pleasant and the finish is clean. Very drinkable, but the taste is not as fascinating as the aroma and appearance.

This is a good Dunkel. Malty, earthy, and a little smokey flavor. Finishes smooth, clean, and crisp.

(GREMANY) Courtesy of AFI96, thanks Waylo !!! Dark auburn color with a thin tan head. This dunkel has a roasted malt / oatmeal aroma and a slight rum / caramel taste. The finish is sweet but kinda dry. So if you see this one give it a try !!!!

Dont serve this puppy too cold as it is quite sensitive to cold temps. Full pour yields a medium brown /amberish body with a nice thick tan head that never comes back after the first mouthing. Lots of caramel promises in the nose that will reward the tounge if served at the proper temperature. Otherwise you will end up with a tinny watery body. When served properly a slick sweet body will slide about your mouth an linger.
