Commercial Description:
Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

Dark amber, thick head dissipated to an everage head quickly. I didn't detect much aroma in this bottle. Taste is malty with a roasty coffeeish notes. Not unpleasant but definitely not a wise choice to accompany my cheeseburger :)

This brew poured a large head of fine to medium sized bubbles and a carbonated semi-transparent brown body. It has a mild malt aroma appropriate for a Dunkel. This brew is a bit on the fizzy side for a Dunkel. Its flavor is a bit burnt or roasted caramel and this with some spicey notes.

Bottle. Pours a brown body with a tan head. Sweet toasty malt character, hints of char, coffee, light emphasis on dark fruit skin. Caramel and toffee. Nice.

Beautiful coffee-red color with invitingly poofy toffee-colored head. Nice roasted and sweet barley aroma. Excellent rounded flavor of light smokiness, a hint of coffee, and roasted goodness. This rocks.

(Bottled) Very beautiful deep, dark red color with a foamy, diminishing and lacy head. Malty, sweet and nutty aroma. Roasted malt, caramel and coffee are present in the sweetish flavor. Smooth and creamy, medium-bodied palate with bitter and dry finish, and balanced carbonation. A throughly enjoyable, full and filling brew, that would easily take in 2% more ABV.

Tap @ Aying. Pours cloudy amber with a creamy white head and lacings. Chewy malty. A bit of bread, fruit, grain and lots of caramel. Smooth and full palate. Taste is liquorice, caramel and bread - vaguely roasted. Nice

Dark and bitter colormaltaromas topped of with a bit of bitterhop. Dark golden amber, big soapy head. Balanced towards the bitter. Tinkles on the tounge. A bit lightbodied. Fine sweet and bitter aftertaste.

Sweet monkey... Pours a rich and dark brown, but not black. Solid malt aroma and taste. A little thin on the body. Still, a beer that screams Bavaria and Munich. Does Ayinger make bad beer?
