Commercial Description:
Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

(Bottled) Very beautiful deep, dark red color with a foamy, diminishing and lacy head. Malty, sweet and nutty aroma. Roasted malt, caramel and coffee are present in the sweetish flavor. Smooth and creamy, medium-bodied palate with bitter and dry finish, and balanced carbonation. A throughly enjoyable, full and filling brew, that would easily take in 2% more ABV.

I don't find much of an aroma with this brew, maybe some carmel malt; the flavor is definitely roasted carmel dominated with a light coffee and doughy goodness; nice brew.

The color is a very clear red/mohogany with a big off-white head. The aroma is dominated my malt, with toffee and roasty overtones. The tatse is similar, but has some chocolate a fruity tones as well. It still finsihes relatively dry with some nuttiness and bitterness in the aftertaste.

From the bottle, this poured a deep mahogany color with a short-lived fizzy white head. The aroma is of sweet malt and dried fruits. Medium bodied, this has rich, sweet malt flavors... sweet, but not cloyingly so. There are also hints of fruit and caramel. Nice dunkel.

Dark amber with a rocky tan head. Pine hop aroma mixed with molasses. Toasted malty taste with coffee notes. Oily texture. Light bitter aftertaste, slight dry lager finish.

Burgundy color. Light malt nose with hints of plums and berries, along with caramel. It’s quite dry as well. Palate is round and complex, smoky, and full of rich malt flavors (caramel, toffee, fruit) along with hints of vanilla. Creamy mouthfeel, yet slightly watery texture.

Bottle. Pours a very deep clear ruby-brown with a large mostly-lasting off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, slightly roasty, and dark fruit. Delicious flavour of toasty caramel malt, dark fruit, and a lightly bitter, dry chocolaty finish. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. A very nice version of the style and one of the better ones I’ve tried, I really enjoyed it.

Bottle pours brownish and slightly cloudy with a foamy offwhite head that stays well and laces some. Aromas of nuts, caramel and light chocolate. Flavor is quite malty, caramel, chocolate, and nuts with a touch of coffee as well. Smooth easy drinking with a soft mouthfeel and a lingering malty finish.
