Commercial Description:
Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

Chestnut colour with creme brulee mousse. Aroma of chocolate, wood, and lots of earth. Predominantly earthy palate is sweetish, but balanced. Hints of smoke, caramel and brown sugar.

A very good dunkel. Very smooth and well-balanced between the superb malt choices and the light, yet zesty, hops. I would love to try this brew with a hearty roasted turkey dinner.

Dark and bitter colormaltaromas topped of with a bit of bitterhop. Dark golden amber, big soapy head. Balanced towards the bitter. Tinkles on the tounge. A bit lightbodied. Fine sweet and bitter aftertaste.

Bottled. Chocolat malts and caramel aroma. Brown color, beige head, good lace. Light sweet, dark caramel flavor, light bitter, chocolat in the finish, light herbal, light nutty. Medium body and light dry in the finish. Like a lighter version of the Celebrator.

Chestnut body and a blossoming head, but absolutely no carbonation(?) Grainy malt nose, rye bread, lightly nutty and with a vodka tinge, this smells lovely. Flavor of burnt toast, slightly roasty, tending towards an earthy, bitter finish. This would be terrific with German cuisine, but pretty darn good on its own.

color is deep brown, thin tan head. aroma is malty as hell, slightly nutty with slight alcohol. Flavor is medium-bodied, with chocolate and dark fruits, and a little leather. Hops are not apparent to my tongue.

On tap at Ayingers Speis und Trank in Munich.
Dark reddish/brown coloured, medium sized pale beige head. Malty, chocolate and mild spicy aroma with notes of toffee and smoke. Pleasant sweet dryish finis. Another very tasty beer from Ayinger.

Pours a very dark brown with a few red highlights. A large off-whte head tops this. The aroma is cooked carrots with some bread crust. Also has a touch of chocolate and raisins. The flavor is a nice fruity mix of raisins and some light chocolate. It also has a touch of carrots. A fairly light mouthfeel. Another solid entry from Ayinger.
