Very smooth and well-balanced between the superb malt choices and the light, yet zesty, hops. I would love to try this brew with a hearty roasted turkey dinner. joss (3680), Garching b. Grainy malt nose, rye bread, lightly nutty and with a vodka tinge, this smells lovely. Flavor of burnt toast, slightly roasty, tending towards an earthy, bitter finish. This would be terrific with German cuisine, but pretty darn good on its own. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA

A large off-whte head tops this. The aroma is cooked carrots with some bread crust. Also has a touch of chocolate and raisins. The flavor is a nice fruity mix of raisins and some light chocolate. It also has a touch of carrots. A fairly light mouthfeel. Another solid entry from Ayinger.
