Commercial Description:
Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

Red brown color with tan head. Munich malt bready aroma. Big malty flavor that says MUNICH! This is the way that I like beer.

Outstanding dark bier. Very well blended malts, barley with light roasty and chocolate tones. Very Nice!

Poured from a bottle into a lager glass, this gem developed a lasting, creamy, tan head. Close examination of the body revealed a gorgeous deep chestnut hue that was clear and bubbly. Initially the aroma had a short burst of hops, but the specifics escaped me before the aroma morphed into a rich caramel-like maltiness. Shortly thereafter I also smelled a tiny bit of fruit. Much to my surprise, this had one of the most dynamic aromas I’ve experienced in a beer. The taste was crisp and a little spicy with some smoother, sweeter malts for balance. I could be going crazy, but I also thought I noticed the slightest bit of smoked malts in the finish. The beer was medium- bodied and very refreshing. I’ll have this one again for sure!

Poured with a thick, lasting head and a deep coffee color. Tasted of molasses and as the description said, plums. The beer was highly enjoyable, and finished without a bitter finish.

16.9 oz. bottle. Sweet, oily, slightly plummy classic German dunkel aroma. Bright, sparkling, gold-tinged brown color. Moderate amount of fluffy beige head. Surprisingly tart, hoppy flavor for a malt-oriented brew, and that’s great for a hops lover like me. Very interesting, unique malt flavor that I can’t put my finger on but that I really enjoy. Excellent flavors could stand to be a little stronger. Very crisp, fizzy, and satisfying to the palate and very drinkable. I am pleasantly surprised at just how tasty this beer is, given that malty German brown lagers aren’t my favorite style. This is probably the best dunkel that I have ever had.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Wonderful malty aroma with dark rosey amber presence. Delightfully full body with tones of toffee and carmel. Served with fresh homemade pretzels and whole grain mustard - a wonderful treat.

Translucent brown with a nice sustained tan head... Aroma is slightly sweet, a touch hoppy, dominated by toffee, chocolate, and bread with a hint of grass... Taste is dominated by chocolate and breads with more grassy hops in the background... Mildly warming, excellent mouthfeel..
