Commercial Description:
Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

Re-Rate: Deep Burgundy, lots of lace. Toasty, kind of spicey that works well with the carbonation. well balanced.

Auburn with a tan head. The nose is malty with light citrusy notes and a touch of smoke. Fruit in the nature of fresh hops at the end of the nose. The beginning is smokey sweet. The middle gets bittersweet with a good firm, but mild citrusy hop bitterness. The smoke comes through again towards the end blending nicely with the hop bitterness. Nicely balanced and tastey dunkel.

A very enjoyable brew. dark roasty/toasty flavour. Not bad at all, perhaps a bit thin.

Deep coppery red color. Firm beige head that persisted. The aroma was more yeasty than malty. Flavor began with dark fruit and hints of chocolate. The texture is a bit thin, but the fruit is balanced by hop at the finish. A lager so good that it could have been an ale.

Dark ruby color with a medium fading off white head. Aroma is light malt and a little nuttty. Flavor is toffee like with a hint of coffee. Finish is slightly dry and the palate a bit thin. Not bad, not great.

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a big beige head. Sweet malt aroma with some earthy spiciness. Slight roastiness in flavor a sweet caramel backing and a not-quite-citrus flavor in the background. Clean and crisp. Easy to drink.

Copper orange color with thick, lightly lacing tan head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt. Lightly hopped body has toffee and chocolate undertones. Well rounded and full-bodied, but a little musty tasting.
