| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 23, 2009 Pours a beautiful hazy peach with huge frothy white head that lingers nicely. Aroma is loaded with grapefruit and lemon citrus, in addition to yeasty spice such as clove and banana. Flavor is an incredible balance of citrus sweetness and caramel malt. Very floral and sweet, finishing with lingering citrus. Palate is very rich for the style, starting creamy and finishing dry and clean. Amazing example of the style. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 10, 2009 Pours a nice cloudy golden yellow, nice bright white head. Smells of wheat, citrus, and spices. Very good Weisse. SaulusHumulus (47), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 6, 2009 Bottle (Alko). Pours dark yellowish and very hazy, in my opinion almost too hazy. Head is quite thick but doesn’t leave much lacing. Quite rounded aroma is lightly, sweetly fruity, yeasty, tangy spicy, lightly hopped and naturally wheaty. Lightly fruity flavor is somewhat sour, yeasty and in the aftertaste dry and well-hopped. Abundant carbonation is refreshing. det2nj (31), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 5, 2009 Great aroma of fruit and honey. Excellent mouthfeel. Medium bodied and not too bready as far as hefeweizens go. Really a classic fruity-spicy hefe. Highly recommend.
Enjoyed at Nick’s on Central Ave, Newark. yemenmocha (428), Glendale, Arizona, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 30, 2009 Pours cloudy golden color with beautiful white head.
Nose is typical banana clove, with more clove than usual. Citrus & bread are present as well. The aromas come up like fresh bread straight from the oven.
Palate is a somewhat light bodied, highly carbonated, with fresh bready banana clove, maybe some papermill or other industrial flavors as well (in a good way). Light, refreshing hefe.
Excellent example of the style, but not the best imported Hefe-Weizen I’ve sampled. darkseduction (206), Zweibrücken, Germany
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 28, 2009 Bottle 50cl. Pours a muddy pale brew with firm and stable white head. Nice carbonisation, refreshing. Great performance. Round and typical yeasty impression, typical for the style but more complex fruit and malt components than other Hefeweizen. Refreshing and complex at the same time, thats a masterpiece. A great brew from a great brewery. hobbersr (419), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 27, 2009 Pours a hazy whiteish yellow with a nice frothy white head. Aroma is intense for a wheat. Bright banana and bubblegum jump out first with coriander, flowers, and clove. Tastes very fresh and crisp. This thing is like all the wheat beers I’ve tried all rolled into one beer. This is awesome! Bubblegum, banana, spices, citrus, and yeast. Mouth feel is light and refreshing. Excellent beer, best weise I’ve had to date. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 24, 2009 50cl bottle. Opaque yellow with a frothy white head. Wheat, cream, banana and clove in the aroma. The flavor is lightly tangy and sweet with a crisp and lightly spicy finish. Light bodied with lots of carbonation. As expected, this pretty much nails the style, with a good amount of subtlety and restraint in the yeast department, adding to the refreshment factor. You can tell that this would be much better still on its home turf.
