Sep 25, 2008 Pours a light cloudy yellow with a active white head. Aroma of citrus and wheat. Flavor is yeast, wheat, and a touch of banana. The carbonation is very active and tingly on the tongue. Good refreshing hefe.

Sep 22, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow, with a big white foamy head. A strong citrus smell with a hint of wheat. Fruityness of beer gives almost a wine type taste. Full bodied beer, Some sweetness and yeast in the taste, excellent hefeweizen

Sep 12, 2008 I could certainly get used to this brew. Poured cloudy with a thick white head. Flavor was thick on the wheat side with a touch of citrus. If I had another, I would be drinking it now!

Sep 10, 2008 Pours a pale yellow almost white with lots of carbonation and a foamy white head. Very Belgian like sour cherry, bready aroma with some citrus. Very sweet fruity intro that turns tart and a little dry as it finishes with a more bready flavor that fades gently. The body is very creamy from the wheat and the flavors are all very smooth and well balanced.

Sep 7, 2008 Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Pours a cloudy gold with white head. Aroma of bannana and bubblegum with light citris. Flavor has nice bannana notes with light citris and a wheat malt backbone, light sweetness. Mouthfeel is light and soft with high carbonation. Overall a very light, refreshing beer.

Sep 1, 2008 Updated: Mar 5, 2009(bottle) hazy golden-yellow colour, huge firm white head. aroma has dominant banana and citrus notes, as well as a light hop spiciness and wheat. flavour is mostly banana and wheat, with notes of green apple and light citrus, peanuts and floral hops. medium carbonation, light to medium body. refreshing and well-made!

Aug 30, 2008 Another solid and comfortable staple in hefeweizen land. I still prefer Weihenstephaner as Ayinger is less robust and less deep a clove-banana imprint. Won’t pass it up however, refreshing and flowery flavor. Less dirty than the Schneider Weiss but still not as satisfying as the Weihenstephaner.

Aug 28, 2008 Pours a pale yellow, like a cloudy pale lager. The flowery, fruity aroma fills the room and is magnificent. Lots of banana. Some sweet, citric malt. Finishes lovely. Really great summer beer, up there on par with Hacker-Pschorr’s hefe.
