Commercial Description:
Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

Bottle. Average off-white fizzy head that mostly lasted. Good lacing. Cloudy orange color. Banana, yeast, clove, coriander, citrus and wheat. Medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Flavor was light sweet with hint of acidic from the citrus notes. Sweet finish.

Bottle at Falstaff, Paris. A hazy gold studded with rising carbonation, perched atop is a huge foamy white head. Aroma is wheat upfront, as well as slight banana, floral, and spice character. Taste brings up bubblegum, banana, a lingering sour wheat character. Has an impressive and hard to place varying sweet/sour after that was enjoyable. High carbonation and pleasing on the palate.

Banana was extremely prominent throughout the beer and the head retention was ridiculously long. I enjoyed this beer very much but I think after two it would become too sweet.

Pours cloudy light amber with a fluffy white head. Aroma is bread, banana and vanilla, kind of reminds me of a breakfast cereal.. Flavor is creamy, with banana bread and citrus. A very flavorful, but light beer. I like it a lot.

Pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. I could smell some banana, spices and wheat. Flavor was a little sweet and wheaty. Good Hefeweizen.

A good wheat beer, very satisfying. Cloves in aroma, orange in taste as well as lemon. Good mouthfeel though not the most outstanding I have had for a hefe, banana mouthfeel with little of the latter’s taste.

I am a fan of the hefeweizens. I liked this beer, but it was too lemony. I am used to a cloudy orange color with a mix of citrus fruit. This hefe had lemon notes to it all the way. The beer poured a cloudy lemon with little head. The beer was creamy and nice. I was impressed with this beer, but it reminded too much of a lager to be a hefe. Sorry Ayinger, but too much lemon.
