Pours with a rapidly dissipating head and a meak, slightly fruity aroma. Flavor dominated by clove with some mild fruitiness and a watery mouthfeel of a bottle left open too long before pouring. Light and maybe refreshing, but with little tartness to cleanse the palate.

Bottle from John’s Grocery - Lots of citrus taste; backtaste was a little spicey and wheaty; not heavy at all and goes down very easy; a very good hefe!

RE-RATE: 1pt .9oz bottle from Hy-Vee Liquors poured into weizen - Pours cloudy orange gold with a 2 finger sudsy white head; Plenty of wheat, banana, malt, floral hops, and a very slight hint of lemon to the nose; Banana, lemon, a little coriander, and yeast (which adds to the taste in a very positive way) on the initial taste; Spices (coriander mostly), very mellow lemon, bread backtaste; A fairly full palate; Not watery and not heavy, just right for a weizen; Refreshing carbonation that makes it smooth to go down for the most part; Revisiting now that I have a good system in place and have acquired a bit of a taste for different kinds of beer! Not what I remember. Much more complex. Definitely a good one and my favorite hefe that I can easily get my hands on. A standard that everyone should put their lips to.

Hazy honey coloured beer with a tremendous head that took several pauses during the pour so as not to spill. Once it settled, it formed chunky peaks and shapes before slowly fading. BIG aromas of banana, vanilla, wheat. Very smooth mouthfeel, with classic flavours of banana, citrus, and sweet spices with a wheaty-yeasty backbone. Silky finish. One of the best wheats I’ve had.

Bottle 500ml sampled with Beerded_one. Pours hazy golden with a large monsterous white head. Aroma of Bananas, citrus, wheat, and sweetness. Flavor is smooth, citrus, banana, wheat, mild carbonation, and spices. Body is a little thin. But a very good Hefeweizen.

pours milky gold, slight haze, nice white head, lemon aroma. lemon wheat taste. Mild flavor, thin mouthfeel. Not a heavy beer, easy to drink

Bottle. Pours gold with a thin white head with lots of bubbles coming to the top. Aromas of banana, lemons and clove. Very carbonated. Lots of yeast and very mild flavors as compared to the aroma. More of the same bananas, cloves and wheat. Carbonated and thin mouthfeel. Average.

Bottle. Pours a yellow gold with a slight haze. Decent head that leaves a fine lacing behind. Citrus and banana on the nose, but those flavors are mild upon tasting. Maybe a little bit thin and not as creamy as I had hoped. Not a very robust hefeweizen, but the trademark flavors are present. A good hefeweizen, but I was expecting better.

Pale gold with a greenish shine; good whitish head. Cloves, some banana and faint citrus - AND wheat, very obvious. Sweetish-fruity taste, and a peppery, spicey finish. Well-bodied, but a bit fizzy. A bit basic Weizen, I’d expect better from them.
