Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Pours a dark brown with reddish tint capped by a short-lived cream-colored creamy head. Aroma is a sweet mix of molasses, figs, and dates. Taste is incredible for a simple German bock, with caramel sweetness, smooth and rich malts, and an appearance of the figs from the nose. Rich and roasty mouthfeel with very little carbonation. Best doppelbock ever? Sure, why not?

Bottle. Exp. march 2007. Pours a dark brown brew with a fine beige head. Aromas of raisins, sweet malt, coffee with milk, nuts and chocolate. Chewy toffee flavour with notes of chocolate, malt and a little licorice. Super rich flavour.

12 ounce bottle enjoyed on a rainy Fourth of July Day. Pours a cola-like brown color with a one and a half finger width tan head that disappears quickly. It has some mahogany tints around the edges of the glass also. The aroma is a bit bland for my liking. It consists of subtle malts, some very faint cocoa, and a somewhat strange copper hint. The taste is what separates this bock from the rest though. It has a good taste of roasted and sweet malts and a slight hint of cocoa. It has a light mouth feel and leaves a nice bitter taste in your mouth after each drink. I will go on record here and say that this is the best doppelbock that I have had so far. I am still not a huge fan of the style though because it’s lack of complexity.

330 ml. bottle. Pours a thin mocha head, over a clear, dark, reddish brown body.........nose of molasses, dried fruits, (cherry, raisin, plum).......taste is sweet and loaded with plum, cherry, raisin, also molasses.......mouth feel is heavy, carbonation low. Rich, thick, heavy, sweet, all the appropriate characteristics.

Deep reddish brown, almost cola-like with a tan head. Aroma of malt and sugar, some dark fruits. Flavor is much like aroma, very sweet, slight fruit. It is big and smooth, very malty. This is not my favorite style by any means, but enjoyable to split with friends. As a hophead I can only handle a taster of this malty brew, simply too sweet.

Pours a very dark brown with a reddish hue when held to the light and has a dense dark brown head. The aroma has molasses, dark fruit, and licorice. The body is thick with molasses, brown sugar, caramel, toffee, licorice, raisins and fig. This is sweet stuff, yet ends on a bitter, roasted note. A complex and great beer.
