Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

On tap at the 51st Street Speakeasy in OKC. Pour is a deep red amber with a light brown head. Aroma is a potent mixture of brown sugar, dark fruits (prunes, figs, plums) and roasted coffee. Flavor is equally as complex with roasted malt, caramel, dark toffee, black licorice, a pumpernickel bread. Mouthfeel is heavy and oily. Quite the complex beer, but delicious nonetheless.

What more can I add about Celebrator - its one of a kind and well lauded as it should be. Thick but not among the thickest, dark but amber or brown more than black. The head is thin and on the light side of carbonation. The flavor is complex, different with each sip, but to describe it you’d have to talk about the raisons, the roasted stout-like barley, and dark sugars without being ’sugary’. One of my staple beers that never dissapoints.

Bottle from Corks, Bristol. Dark chestnut in colour with a short-lived tan head. Aroma of prunes, caramel, molasses and doughy malts. Flavour had some fruit and chocolate to start, before roasted notes, leafy hops and a moderately sweet finish. A complex and enjoyable beer.

11.2 fl.oz. Dark pour with light brown head. Slight sweetness and roasted malt taste. Slight alcohol in the aftertaste. Really smooth tasting beer. Really nice mouthfeel. The taste stays with you. The taste comes out more as it warms up. I really appreciate this beer.

Quite dark and thick. Had a smooth taste while still retaining the kick of a doppel.

Location: Tried this one at of all things a "Beers of Europe" tasting on a cruise boat. Late December ’08.

Overall Impression: As I said, tried this on a cruise. They tricked me by ending the tasting with this, I wasn’t expecting much after a "tasting" that included Guiness and Stella, but suddenly there was a beer I’d never had before. This one was a darn good one, tho, with lots of interesting flavors and tastes.

Excellent stuff. Pours a reddish chocolate color with a thin tan head. Aroma is sweet and malty. Taste is malty, bread, sweet and finishes dry. Plus you get a cool plastic horse with the bottle. EDIT: And by horse I mean ram.
