Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

33cl bottle- Intensely dark ruby, near black with a firm tanned head leaving solid lacing. Buttery, mildly roasted aroma, some liquorice toffee and dried fruits. A bit alcoholic and berry vinous flavor, roasted malts, butter and lovely Käck-liquorice finish. Not that thick palate, but definitely smooth enough. Not quite as vinous as Asam or Korbinian.

(Bottle on 2009-02-14) Deep dark brown and clear. Medium sized tan coloured head. Sweetness, rostedness and chocolate in aroma. Full bodied and quite thick palate with little carbonation. Malts, roastedness, chocolate, bitterness and bit of sweetness in taste. Chocolate and malts in aftertaste.

Bottle. Dark mahogony pour with a light tan head. Sweet maltyness a little caramel. Slight roast and more malty sweetness on the palate. Good stuff.

This beer is as good as it gets. Pours dark brown. Caramelly and smokey with some chocolate hints. Tons of different flavor. One of the best beers I have ever had.

Bottle. Pours with a a nice thick light colored head which laces the glass. A great beer with slightly sweet malt flavors and a dry finish.

12oz bottle in a snifter. Pours a murky brown with a thin head. Funny - I swear I’ve had Celebrator before that’s been less dark with a much fuller head. Great dark nose of coffee, fruit, chocolate, and a little tobacco. Mildly bitter, with lots more of the fruit and a very slight lingering bitterness. Just the right level of carbonation for a smooth palate. Tasty stuff.

...bottle. Had this a while back in Florida. Poured a very dark brown with a nice tan head that lasted, with lacing. On the nose was dark roasted malt, dark dried fruits, caramel and coffee. Flavors were similar, with the addition of smoke and hops. FInished dry, with a weird smoky aftertaste. I was slightly disappointed in this, but the flavors just weren’t for me. True to style, but I thought it was unbalanced.

Bottle, 330ml, Trappist goblet. Pours rich, dense and dark mahogany, with tenacious lacing. Dark fruits, molasses and liquorice on the nose. Very smooth on the tongue, with sweet malts and caramel surfacing, amply rewarding the palate. Great doppelbock.
