Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Very very interesting. Very dark with a lovely foamy tan head. Aroma is quite musty and moldy but the "fresh" aroma of the crystal comes through. Taste is moldy with a noticable background lager flavor. The flavor is accented with dark fruit and the finish is quite dry and very smoky. This is a very good, very drinkable beer. Very smooth and clean, something you should expect from a well-made lager. Spot on!

This is truely the holy grail of Doppelbocks. I don’t think I could write anything that the description doesn’t already explain. A must try.

Pours a dark brown with a big frothy tan head. The aroma is full of brown hops and alcohol... something sweet and earthy in there, too. The flavor has lots of raisins and malt, with a quick finish. The mouthfeel is solid, but not thick, mainly due to the finish. A really solid, excellent beer.

11.2 bottle. As stated, dark brown, almost like a porter, with the creamy head that faded quickly, and a smooth sweet hoppy taste. Don’t know if it’s worth the price exactly, but still a very nice beer.

Pours a dark brown with a thin white head with decent lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel malts. Flavor is similar, with additional notes of clover honey. Nicely sweet and malty. Very smooth drinking and thick, almost syrupy mouthfeel. A very nice beer.

Overall, a nice beer, but I expected something more complex... there’s lots of banana and clove and alcohol is muted as they say, but I was left wanting for something more... There are stouts and porters with more complexity and mouthfeel that deserve better ratings.

A velvety smooth stocking for tongue. You can’t taste the alcohol and the malt mellowness makes this a really great after dinner beer, especially if dinner is rouladen.

This is a great beer, but a 4.11!?!?! No way. The aroma is not complex or strong. It is very smooth and has a complex taste of malts and hops that is well balanced. It is the best dopple ive had, but there are way better beers ranked much lower.
