Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Bottle at Sune’s. Black - tan head. Burned, dry burned, watery body & mouthfeeling, light coffee, bitter schwartzbrot, bruwn sugar raisins, plums. Not at all interesting complex and powerfull enough.

Black, but thin bodied, with a nice roasty nose. Smooth as silk with an easy alcoholic aspect, almost like a chocolate liquer. Exceptionally balanced mouthfeel and understated for a powerful brew.

(Bottled, re-rate) Very dark, reddish brown color with an average, creamy and lacy, completely fading head. Roasted-malty aroma with coffee, licorice, bread and brown sugar. Very roasted-malty, ashy, bitter and dry coffee flavor with a sticky, slightly syrupy-sweet finish. ABV is perfectly hidden. Medium to full-bodied with a dryish, creamy mouthfeel, and very smooth carbonation. A very enjoyable and balanced doppelbock - not as heavy or sweet as the Asam-Bock.

First of all. This doppelbock is mega quaffable. So smooth, creamy & filling. Plenty of caramel/toffee, some sugar & a light roated malty touch. A gentle warmth & alcohol feel. Amazing for its style & even on its own! Re-Rate July - 09. 3rd time Ive tasted this was from draft at brauereigasthof Aying: Sooo deep and complex. Nuts, vinous, caramel, dried fruits, liquorice, bread and roast. Very smooth, sticky and full palate. I had to have a whole Liter of this before call it the day. Draft version appeared much deeper and basically a new experience for me. 3,9 - 4,1

Burned sugar and slight chocolate aroma. Black redness, creamy brown head with lace. toffee, chocolate and espresso, yet a nice prickly freshness on the tip of the tongue. Oily mouthfeel, sparkly mouthfeel - long lingering sticky sweetness like eating sirup with spoons - in a good way

Oh man... this was only the second dopplebock I tried and it was so very, very good. I'm a fan of the dark brews and this is one of the kings. So smooth, not overpowering yet not weak. A little malty, but everything is just balanced wonderfully.
