Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Tan head with a very creamy foam. Deep malt aroma, very aromatic caramel smell with no hop aroma up front. A fruit nose detected upon warm-up. Dark brown to black in color leaving a lovely lace behind. Sweet chocholate dominant flavor. Alcohol on tip of tongue. Nice hop back taste with a rich full body of malt middle. Milky finish. As close to a hot fudge sunday as a beer can get. UPDATE 4/11/6: If you allow this to sit for about 90 minutes in your glass, it actually smells like CHEESE!

Small nice-looking dark-beige creamy head. Nearly opaque red-black body. Lovely deep sweet malty, earthy aroma. Huge, sweet taste with lots of chocolate and licorice; complex, yet harmonic. Fades into a simple, rounded finish. A beautiful beer; drinkable, yet too sweet and powerful to be drunk in any great quantity. Grows more dense as you drink it. (This rating sucks. I have to rerate this one.)

Dark mahogny colour with a hints of ruby. Small beige creamy long-lasting head. Wondeful malty aroma. Can find toffee, dark dried fruit, sweetened cherries and nuts with a slightly vinous note. Smooth and complex flavours of chocolate, dried plums, coffee and spices. Smooth and thick texture. Wonderful balance. Coffee, caramel and alcohol in finish. Delicous!

I was disappointed in the aroma of malt. Good appearance. very dark brown with a small head. Flavors of malt, sugar, port, coffee, fruit, and a little smoke. Rich.

Bottle, served at 60*F. Aroma is very very strong of salty soy sauce with some smokyness and a little bit of dough, toffee and butterscotch. The pour yeilds a small, creamy off-white head, with great lacing, and a dark brown body. It nearly looks like a porter. The flavor is quite nice with a lightly sweet yeasty taste. Body is medium to full and the mouthfeel is creamy. A lot of character for such low abv.

Bottle. Dark beer with a big off-white head. Nice roasted sweet malt aroma with some molasses. Roasty flavor with a sweet malt and some fruitiness. Well balanced, but it has a slight sweetness that hides the alcohol well. Very well done, rich and complex but easy to drink.

Nice brown color, medium head. Awesome aroma of malt, fruits and some alcohol vapors. Great, deep, powerfull flavors of malt and dark fruits. So far the best doppelbock I’ve tasted, a really good beer !

Bottled, UDRBG. Finally the Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock! With such high expectations this brew can only be disappointing. And it was. Offcourse stille a good brew, but no top50. I had better doppelbocks. Aroma of grassy hops and caramel malts. Clear brown coloured with a slightly brown head. Taste is sweet, malty, well balanced. A bit sticky and a bit carbonated.
