Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Pours dark brown with a nice tan head. Nice aroma of chocolate malt, coffee, and brown sugar. Flavor is sweet, plummy, with hints of chocolate and nuts. Nice palate. Goes down heavy, with very very slight acidic aftertaste. Great beer.

Dark earthy brown with a thin lasting tan head. Big chocolate and smoky aroma. Taste is more unsweetened chocolate, caramel, sweet fruits, prunes, raisins and very bready. The finish is smoky and sweet caramels.

On tap at Tylers, Durham. Truly one of the most glorious, perhaps the most glorious examples of this style. Wonderful dark pour with a thick, creamy head. The aroma is filled with smoky, rich sweet malts, and a trace of wood in the finish. Tastes just about like that, a hefty body delivering the flavors well, making it satisfying and oddly quite quaffable.

Bottled: Aroma is intensiv malty with notes of nut, molasses and roasted malt. Dark brown color, big, brownish fluffy head. Flavor with a velvety, light thickly texture and a light sourly, tannin feeling. Flavor is although nutty, malty, sugary and light roasty. Fruity alcohol notes. Quite astringent end with a light roasty bitterness. Coffe notes in the end. A very fine brew, complex, well balanced.

Pours a clear, almost black with an off-white dimminishing head. Very sweet with heavy malt aromas of molasses and roasted malts. Also some plums, raisins and brown sugar. Medium bodied. Fizzy carbonation. Medium to short duration dry finish. I like the toasted malt aromas together with the sweetness.

Very creamy, very well balanced. Something almost fishy about the aroma hidden within the malt.

Pours dark brown/black with reddish tint. Thick creamy tan head, that recedes to light cover. Nice lacing. Aroma is dark fruit, molases, toffee, chocolate and a touch of cookie dough. Flavor is malty and fruity delight. Plums, raisins, molases, bitter chocolate, a touch of hops, some roastedness comes at the end. Finish is longish and dry, with a bit of warming alcohol. Texture is smooth and creamy.

12 ounce bottle. Poured a beautiful mahogany with a creamy light brown head that clings well to the sides of the glass. Aroma is not at bold as I expected and that’s a let down for me. Prunes and chocolate chew are the major player. Flavors of smoke, chocolate, prune juice. abound. Full body.
