Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a good head that goes down fast. A complex taste of fruit, malt, hops, alcohol and a flowery taste. Really nice and well made.

Dark reddish-brown with medium head. Aroma is very roasty with sweet caramel/nut essence. Taste is very full bodied with roasted dark malts. Bits of dark fruit and some hop tingle detectable. Overall, a pretty damn good D-bock.

Thanks Bunkypop for hooking a brother up multiple times! Pours a dark body, black, with a mocha coloured head, that is thick as nails. Aromas are smokey, malty roasted nuts, chocolatey coffee, and meaty spiceness. Weird! Taste is smoked nuts and malt, with some campfire notes hitting everywhere. Nice complexity I cannot describe. Finish is smoooooooth, dry, alcohol not even here a trace!!! Thanks Steve!

(Bottle) Pours dark with red hints. Dried fruits, caramel aroma with grainy/nutty bread and spices. Undertones of hops, allmond paste and maybe a tiny bit of grass. Sweet, caramelly flavour with grain/malt, hints of alcohol, smoke and some chocolate A bit spicy, light hoppy and light sourish. Good, smooth mouthfeel. Full body.

Bottle shared with barrios courtesy of scottyp. Clear dark brown pour with ruby highlights and wispy off -white head. Nose of rich honey, brown sugar, apple, and many other things. Flavor is much the same. Medium body with a semi-silky texture This beer is an absolute delight.

bottle. Pours a very, very dark brown which only lets a small light through on the edges. The head is dense, tan, and lasting. The aroma is wonderfully complex, a harmony of fruit notes, raisins, and slight alcohol. The flavor is also excellently complex. I picked up a dry fruit taste followed by some malty sweetness and a dry finish with just a hint of roastiness. This is an excellent beer suitable for drinking on any occassion. [Nov 11, 2007]------- Pretty darn good beer. I’d say this is the best dopplebock I’ve ever had. The buttery sweetness that I associates with bocks is very, very faint in this one. Fruits and subtle spices make up the flavor. Good stuff.

$2.99 from Tip Top, a great San Deigo North County german grocery, butcher, and restaurant. A great price for a top 50 beer. Very thin head with thin lacing. Deep black color. A hint of skunkiness at first smell. After a few minutes a nice mild smoky nose appears. First sip is mild, slightly dry. Nicely subdued roasted grains and chocolate flavor. I definitely don’t taste the sweetness that others taste. Nice drinkable palate. Probably best with some cheese, but by itself, hmmm. Good beer.
