Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

I don’t see what all the fuss is about. Not the best dopplebock that I have encountered. Very dark but thin on the tounge and cloyingly sweet.

(on bottle, thanx hopscotch)Deep brown, chestnut hue, steady white head. Exelent aroma of fresh made ryebread, vanilla and canemolasses. Great snif for sure. After a while, tasting began. Theres a plesant carbonation, fast rising, yet suttle. Taste is both rich and full, but the finish does turn a bit too coffeeish-bitter-burning on me. Has resemplents to a underfermented stout in that afterburn. Still a treat I waited for my whole rating career, thanx for sending it, Eric.

Clear dark brown with a slowly dissipating tan head. Aroma of brown sugar, toffee, caramel and nuts. Taste of brown sugar, toffee, caramel, molasses, light fruit and light alcohol. Medium bodied beer is smooth and malty with a smooth finish. Solid doppelbock, lived up to the hype.

Certainly the finest doppelbock in all the land, awesome sweet malty aroma, full body, strong flavors but like the description says up top there it isn’t too overpowering, just right, hints of chocolate in the flavors, nice tan head, awesome doppelbock

Bottle Pours a very dark mahogany with a thick dense light tan head and rather course lacing. Aroma is a very nice oak, grape jelly, smokey sensation. Flavor is less sweet, more woody and smokey. Yes, the hops are subtle and the dark malty campfire taste is the leading role. Feel is a bit thin though and leaves you rather quickly. Lingering dry dark roated flavors w/o any real bitterness are all thats left. Nice.

Black/dark brown with nice tan head. Great aroma; raisins, dark fruits, roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Similar for the taste with some hops, and caramel. Full bodied, dry and complex - superb.

Lovely dark brown pour with a little bit of a foamy tan head and tons of dark and fruity aroma. I’m picking up scents of chocolate, dark malt, prune, peat, and maybe a bit of toffee. Flavor is a wonderful blending of most of the above, but the peaty/earthy flavor really comes out of the background and carries the load. The chocolate flavors are there in the finish and the dark fruits are there up front. Really well put together. All that and you get a little dangly domesticated animal thing that you can hang on your rear view mirror... such a deal!
