Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Big malty fruity aroma. Dark body with lots of red highlights and almost no head. Flavor is delicious. Dark fruit, sweet roasted malt, coffee, alcohol, a dry roasted bitterness. The feel is silky. Just a wonderful beer! As good a Doppelbock as I have had.

Without a doubt, my favorite doppelbock. Delicious blend of malts finishing with a whisper of hops. Highly recommended.

11.2 oz bottle. Dark brown with purple tints. Creamy oatmeal colored head; big bubbles surround a little cap. Malty chocolate coffee. Leather, figs and raisin. Cinnamon toast. Tastes of tobacco, wood and molasses. Develops into candied citrus peel with enough carb to keep it from becoming stout-heavy. Dry, sour berry finish.

The reputation does not lie. This is absolutely a world classic. Very dark brown color, cappacino-like head. Roasted, sweet malty impressions and alcohol in the nose. Oily texture, robust malt backbone, roasted notes, long finish. Very bitter, reminiscent of a porter. Very nice!

Very dark brown, almost black. Big frothy tan head and lots of lacing. Malty aroma and flavor with a little bit of sweet. Velvety feel with a dry finish. I'll keep coming back for this one.

Smells of caramel, chocolate. Roasty. Pours dark with an off white head. Tastes of deep chocolate; very roasty. Smell is very chocolaty half way through. Taste is even more chocolate. after taste is a little bit of bitterness, but not too much. Head moves down with the beer, not clinging too much to the glass. Its getting better as it goes. Much more roastiness towards the bottom. Rerate: Changed a few categories after finishing the beer. Deffinatly gets better as the glass gets lower.

Dark brown/Black w/ tightly packed mocha head. Rich, malty aroma w/ notes of caramel, nuts, & toast. Thick, chewy, full feel. Sweet malt at first (molasses, caramel) w/ notes of toffee & butterscotch, giving way to a pleasant roastiness (smoke?) & a dry, elegantly balanced finish.

mmm... Lots of malts in the nose, some toffee and a slight hint of alcohol. Beautiful deep mahogany brown body with a small tan head. The flavor contains lots of chocolate, tofee, flavor ends in a slight hop bite. Very nice D-bock, but i think i like the Andechser more.
