Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Finally got hold of a bottle of this and was not disappointed. Reddish brown with a lovely fine, tall head. Big malt aroma of chocolate, caramel, cookies and cake, liqourice; slightly minty. Sweet chocolate and caramel flavor, woth a touch of smoke and a surprisingly bitter roasted finish. Has a perfectly smooth, soft mouth. A very unique and interesting bock!

Black/dark brown. Creamy tan head. Roasted malt and bananas in the nose. Flavor to match with roasted coffee aftertaste. Hints of chocolate coming into the aroma and flavor as it warms. Subtle hops throughout also. Decent lacing. Medium/full- closer to medium body. Excellent.

Bottle. Complex aroma of raisins (but not as overpowering as the raisin aroma often is), fig, orange rind, spices. Flavor equally complex including the raisin again, some fruity wine-like characteristics, coffee as you make your way through the brew, and finally finishing with a long-lasting but at first subtle hop presence. Mouthfeel full and crisp, just what you want in any dark lager. Excellent.

Quite dark and thick. Had a smooth taste while still retaining the kick of a doppel.

Bottle. Pours beautiful deep, rich brown with dark amber highlights. Nice aroma: coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, charred oak and I think that there’s just a hint of smoke lingering in the back. Creamy yet lively carbonation on the palate. Dry with some sweet malt hiding. Almost tastes like alcoholic coffee. I do find it a tad watery on the back of the palate. Finishes with some yeasty dryness.

Wonderfully complex, the bitter hoppy notes mix perfectly with the malty goodness. Fruits like plums and berries are somewhere in the background.
