Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Finally, the great beers are available in Georgia. This beer is what I always figured a Doppelbock would taste like. The flavor blew me away. The color is as expected, but wow - what an awesome kick. Excellent. Available at Harry’s Farmer’s Market in Alpharetta.

Pours dark brown with tan medium sized head. I can’t imagine a dopplebock beeing more perfect than this.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown, almost like cola. Hints of ruby coloring. Has a big, thick creamy tan head. Aroma is intoxicating (inadvertant pun). Very rich aroma full of varying fragrances. Amazing taste. Very dry finish with a bit of smoke. Very rich flavor. Slight metallic tinge to it By far my favorite. Truly a treat to the senses. It’s too bad it’s so expensive. Will rerate later on to make sure that my senses aren’t numb because it’s late.

Wow. Wow. WOW. Bought this on a whim, drawn by the little white plastic goat. I’ve never been big into doppelbocks, or even Bavarian beers in general, but I think this may have begun a trend. The aroma is amazing, with lots of chocolate and no beery alcohol burn. The taste is also chocolatey, but not too sweet, with some nice roasted flavors as well. A very malty beer overall, in the best possible way. Buy it. Drink it. Love it. Rerate: Just had it on tap at Eli Canon’s in Middletown. Holy cow. Perfect.

This comes out of the tap a deep, opaque sable, almost like a stout or porter rather than a bock. Rich, malty aroma has undertones of chocolate and roast coffee. Flavor is smooth and malty, with some hop bitterness and a mocha undertone. There are hints of sweet, nutty and caramel flavors as well. Texture is smooth and pleasing, making for one lip-smacking bock.

An absolutely lovely little dopplebock with the fine chocolate undercoating that Germans do so well and just the merest association with smoke and floral flavors to take the edge off of the dark brew.

At first I had this confused with the Optimator but then after a side by side, the Celebrator is much more roasty and coffee-like. Brilliant dark amber-brown with light brown head. A true dopplebock. Malty sweet "goat’s breath" nose on this beer, with some light roasted coffee aromas too. Some chocolatey toasty notes too. Medium to full bodied. Big Malt warmth, chocolate sweetness, slight hop tang but mostly a nice, earnest malt flavor profile. Finish is very coffee like to me. Bravo!

Bottle - ... WOW.. AWSOME BEER.. i breezed by this one a few time in the store and saw it in Michael Jacksons Ultimate Beer book and said what the hell...Pours an almost black with a creamy off white head.. Very lovely aroma of sweet malt and fruitiness... the flavor is even better.. sweet caramel , fruits, roasted malt with a slightly bitter (slightly) finish.. very good for a cold December night.. even tho its 92 degrees outside right now.. 19 out of 20 on me!!!!
