Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Poured a very dark red/brown with a thick creamy head that lasted the whole drink. The aroma is wonderful, rich, spicy, chocolaty, and malty. The taste is very complex with a lasting finish. A very smooth beer, but I found it to be heavy. Definately recommended, just not after anything light.

This dopplebock rocks. Pours deep dark brown w/ a full, semi creamy froth. Superb hangtime w/ textbook residual lacing. Aromas of moderately roasted malts, leather, cocoa, and dark fruits. Malty w/ a moderate roasty character. Flavors of mother earth, leather, cocoa, roasted coffee bean, and some dark plumby nuances all integrated w/ a mild sweetness factor. Well ballanced with BIG flavors to the last sip. Very complex. You get all the hops, alcohol (well hidden), sweet steak, and density balanced perfectly. Goes down smooth. Highly recomended.

What a great beer! Truly the class of the doppelbocks. Poured a dark, garnet color into a pint glass with a half inch, white head that dissipated quickly. Aromas of molasses and caramel. Smelled really good! The taste was exceptional. Sweet, malty, very molassasy with hints of caramel. Nice, clean finish. Very drinkable. Highly recommended! (And I liked the little goats that came with the bottles!)

I try every dopplebock I can get my hands on, and this has yet to be matched. I wish I could find it on tap.

This is the benchmark for all doppelbocks... the best I’ve ever tasted. A total malt bomb that shows off the Ayinger brewer’s prowess. Creamy, smooth, full-bodied... almost black with ultra-garnet hues when held to the light. If you don’t know what decoction mashing is or don’t know what it does to a beer, this brew represents the epitome of decoction... great, sweet, melanoidin flavor, and geat dextrin body. This beer is all about the malt and has just enough carbonation and hops to help wash it down so you’re left reaching for another bottle. While most of Ayinger’s offerings have become shadows of themselves (to varying degrees), Celebrator has remained gloriously constant. A must for fall, winter, and even the spring!

Pours a brown caramel-like colour with a creamy top, noticed various malts, dry finish, pleasent aroma, and full palate

Wow, tastes like grape juice, but this is a beer?! Very good taste and dark color. I would buy it more if it weren’t so expensive where I am.

Attacks your nose with a wonderful aroma of roasted malt and toffee. Bold and balanced, perfect sweetness to bitterness ratio.
