Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

This one really surprised me. First that I could find it in Atlanta, secondly that I really enjoyed (am enjoying, 1/2 way through) it. Very dark color. Could not see any light through it, extremely dark. Chocolately(?) taste. Very malty, not very bitter at all. Very thick and chewy. Very pretty head on it. All around really nice beer.

Much better than Spaten Optimator. Mine did have a huge head, but it dissipated quickly. Big malty, chocolatly aroma, equally wonderful taste. Very slight hint of bittering in the aftertaste. The bottle was neat too, it came with a plastic goat figurine tied to it.

I wasn’t expecting much when I saw this one at the store. $2.15 per bottle didn’t raise my expectations any either. I thought the little ornament on the bottle was pretty sweet and If I were dirt poor I would probably hang it on my christmas tree. You know that feeling you get when you put on an old jacket and find a $20 bill in the pocket? Thats how I felt when I drank this. Pours a nice brown with a quickly diminishing tan head. Caramel with slight coffee in the aroma. Great caramel bock taste with a nice warm finish. Top freaking shelf!!!

The reputation does not lie. This is absolutely a world classic. Very dark brown color, cappacino-like head. Roasted, sweet malty impressions and alcohol in the nose. Oily texture, robust malt backbone, roasted notes, long finish. Very bitter, reminiscent of a porter. Very nice!

Wow! The presentation is amazing - dark reddish-brown, great clarity for such a dark beer and a wonderful head. The maltiness is overwhelming, yet very pleasant with the chocolate characteristics you would expect from dark malt. The aroma seems to be an extension of the malti, heavy character of the brew. The mouthfeel on this beer is sensational - full of body and complexity. I’m not a big fan of the style, but this dopplebock had everything I would expect in great quantity. Exceptional.

Very, very nice. A thick black color with a nice creamy head. So many flavors that my tastebuds were about to explode. A great beer, but at $5+ a bottle, it’s one I can’t have very often.
