Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Reddish accent to the bright red body. Thin, caramel head. The aroma is gorgeous, an explosive liquid bread with rich accent of piloncillo, hints of roasted nuts and dried fruits. Soft body is thick and supple. The flavour is sweet molasses, tempered with an earthy rich bread character. Subtle dark fruits underlie this. A deep, long, dark sugary finish with a hint of bread crust. If it’s fresh, it’s killer.

There are some beers that just cannot live up to the hype. This is not one of those beers. The appearence is incredible; almost opaque with a beautiful cream coloured head. An inticing butterscotch malt aroma, and finally the flavour does not dissapoint. A very smooth buttery malt flavour with hints of butterscotch and chocolate, but not overdone. This beer is quite strong, but does not taste it. Incredible smooth and satisfying. Celebrator puts Salvator to shame! Well done!!

Very good, so many flavors to discover in this. My tastebuds were overwhelmed by the various flavors, so much so that I spent the majority of the bottle just trying to identify some. One underlying flavor is chocolate, the rest I leave to you to find. My only complaint is that it is slightly fizzy on the tongue, perhaps even too much alcohol taste. Still, a most excellent doppelbock.

A true Bavarian Doppelbock. Nearly black in color (if you look with a strong light, the color is dark dark ruby red) with a dark brown head. Roasted toffee / chocolate aroma, with hints of buttery toffee and yeast. Roasted munich malt flavor with hints of caramel. Excellent balance in bitterness between roasted chocolate malts and sharp, twangy hops. Finishes with a delicious butter yeast flavor. More roasted flavor and not as sweet as some of the other doppelbocks I’ve had this years (aka. Weinhenstephaner).

I’m not a big fan of Doppelbocks but this one is one hell of an exception. Ayinger brewery makes one of the best line of beers available. Makes a great Christmas gift too!

Definatly one of my top 10 beers. Even if your not a dark beer drinker, you’ll still like this one. More flavor and body that your mouth can handle.

Great complex flavor. Hints of molasses, fruit and chocolate are all there with an aroma to match. It is a bit on the pricy side, but hey- you get an ornament with each bottle. Then again, it would be worth it anyway.
