Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Black, but thin bodied, with a nice roasty nose. Smooth as silk with an easy alcoholic aspect, almost like a chocolate liquer. Exceptionally balanced mouthfeel and understated for a powerful brew.

This was wonderful! Nearly opaque ruby color, tan creamy head which dissipated rather quick and left light lacing on the glass. Slight roasted aroma. Taste is excellent, roasted malt with hints of chocolate and caramel. Very smooth on the palate, and the alcohol content is well-masked. Finishes dry and smoky. An outstanding beer.

Deep brown appearance with a dense head. Lethal aroma of chocolate, caramel and a hint of spice. Full bodied smooth, toasted malt, semi-sweet taste with fruity, floral finish. Overall, the best of the doppelbocks.

Draught: Wonderfully smooth and creamy, I tasted some coffee and banana flavors. Not quite my style, but great nonetheless. Rerate: I think a rerate is due, the first time I rated this I had never experienced a doppelbock before. Bottle this time., just slightly chilled. Dark ruby brown color, big and soft cream head. Overwhelming aroma of raisin bran cereal with sliced banans atop, yeast, malt, and caramel. Balance of bitter and sweet malt flavors, banana, mocha, full body, thick and creamy, touch of smoke, but with a faint metallic aftertaste. I think I may have found the hops as well. The palate is incredible, so smooth and delicate, perfect carbonation. An amazing beer. I celebrate Ayinger for this work of art.

The "king" of bock beers. Big malt aroma. You can smell the roasty, conditioned malt. Big mouth feel and flavor. This beer just fills up your mouth! Deep, rich, brown, color that even looks inviting. You would hardly even notice that the beer is not strong enough to be in the doppelbock catagory.

From a bottle (with the oh-so-cool little plastic white goat hanging on it)- This is simply the best bock beer there is... with a complex, roasted malty aroma and taste, I celebrate Celebrator!

one of the first really wonderful beers i ever had. very rich and sweet. i use it as a benchmark for the strong german beers. nice late night drink too. for some reason have had fluctuating quality, draft seems consistently good. recommend it so highly.
