Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

330 ml bottle. Foamed a little on opening. Poured a dark brown black with ruby edges. Nice thick, creamy head of the tiniest bubbles, the color of a rootbeer float. Oh so creamy. Aroma is mildy hoppy, moderately malty. Notes of caramel and damp earth, vanilla. Moderately sweet in the start with some nice malty notes of toffee and the faintest hardwood smoke. Really reminded me of the taste of carmelized duck, maybe roasted over applewood. Wow. Lightly bitter in the middle, and a slightly sweet, long finish. Profoundly silky, and an easy 5 on the palate. You don’t often experience this kind of silkiness outside of a good chocolate mousse... Really, quite superb on all counts.

It’s like someone poured a Belgian ale and a dark bock beer together, with amazing results. Pours (cold) very dark brown, with an inch head that quickly subsides. Smells amazing, like a Belgian ale with all the fruitiness, but also with a distinct molasses aroma. Very smooth, not very heavy but decidedly full body, leaves a smoky, molasses aftertaste. Lots of carbonation lightens it up. If you can bear to drink it slow and let it warm up, it gets more complex, with more fruit and yeasty flavors appearing. I am thrilled I found this for just under $6/four pack at Delicatessen Meyer in Lincoln Square. I could have one of these every day, all year ’round. You can only drink imperial stouts so long before you want some relief....

Lovely creamy head on this one. I got hits of licorice and caramel with a slight touch of smokiness. Felt bubbly against the tongue but not distractingly. Peppery finish lingered on pleasantly afterwards. Very elegant beer. I think I’ll need to try a few more.

Looks like cola. Coffee taste. Smooth. Pretty color. Yummy! It’s a dark dark brown color with a deep dark fruit aroma. Super smooth and very easy to drink.

It is to the evening as a mocha is to the morning. It’s dark appearance and chocolate-molasses flavor makes it a wonderful choice to celebrate having a good day.

My first Doppelbock experience -- how could anything else compare. A nice creamy head on an almost black body. Liquid chocolate. Can taste the malt, but it is not overpowering. Hints of vanilla on the nose with a hint of spice. Clean, dry, crisp finish. My first love. . .I will never forget you.

one of my all-time favorite beers. I must have hundreds of little goats layin’ around. a deep dark red color and aroma that never fails to put a smile on my face. dried fruits and spice compliment the maltiness with just a hint of hop presense. best enjoyed at a spring festival at the Germania club in columbus, ohio. you can imagine my excitement when I found out they were serving Celebrator!!!!!! close second would be Salvator.
