Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

This one was great, I enjoyed every second of it! Dark color with molasses in the flavor and the aroma. Maybe even a bit of chocolate in there. Complex, delicious, and malty. Great beer, I highly recomend it.

Bow down. Get on your knees--even if the ground is covered in broken glass, AIDS patients, and dirty needles. This is your god now. Best in bottle, it has a very different taste on draft. It even has a little goat charm with each bottle, which provides endless entertainment when you have had one too many. To quote the kickass movie They Live: CONSUME.

Bottle - Pours deep dark brown with thick tan head. Aroma is sweet malt with some chocolate notes. Medium palate with a silky creamy velvet feel. Nice complex flavor with some sweetness. Roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, maple and some hints of vanilla in the follow-through. No bitterness at all, just sweet malty goodness. Overall this is an outstanding beer and easily the best doppelbock I’ve had.

330 ml bottle, no date stamp. Opaque black liquid with 3 finger tan head. Aroma is at first metallic hop, not real pleasant, but changes to chocolate maple. Taste is ridiculously smooth, and palate is smoothest ever! Some chocolate and smoke in the finish as described. Nice little raisin taste; alcohol not evident at all. Man this is highly drinkable stuff.

This makes everyone’s list, professional and amateur as the quintessential dopplebock for very good reason; it probably IS the best. It’s impossible for the beer aficionado to find any fault with this beer. This is how a brewer makes a ’complex balance’ between the malts and hops.

This has become my favorite beer. Very smooth taste. Consistent, thick, and creamy head. Clean aftertaste. Great balance between hops and malt. Medium bitter flavor.

Pours black as night with a little thin caramel head that doesn’t last long at all. Smells of coffee, chocolate and maybe a bit of toffee like a Heath bar. Great mouthfeel with a subtle but perfectly carbonated liquid swirl around my tongue. The taste is much like the aroma yet slightly sweeter. The alcohol is hidden fairly well to boot.
