Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

i can’t imagine what they could possibly do to improve this beer. every time i haven’t had one for a while, i think i’ll be dissappointed only to be blown away again. pours a deep ruby brown, thick tanhead. smells and tasted like liquid bread, sweet, full, incredibly smooth with a slight bite. Possibly the best beer ever!

After many times having this beer, I cannot for the life of me figure out its main flavor, which is delicious! But it’s almost frustrating and keeps me buying it again and again to figure it out! Pours dark brown, unlike the image on this page which is more red. The head is just like the image, light tan. Okay, the mysterious element of this brew is experienced in the nose and taste. Let’s see. Its some brilliant combination of dark toffee, strong nutmeg, spicy vanilla, hazelnut, jesus I don’t know, but I’ve never tasted its flavor so pronounced in other doppelbocks. Extremely drinkable. I’ll be dwelling on this one for a while.

One of my all time favorites!! I was only 20 years old when I had my first and yet I still remember that experience today.

Great doppelbock -- pours dark brown with a medium tan head, strong roasted malt taste, very nice rich full body.

330mL bottle courtesy of matt7215 for my 600th rating! Thanks Matt! This gem pours a dark brownish amber with a small tan head. Perfect aroma of Munich, Caramalts, chrystal malts, toffee, bready-biscuity caramel, and awesomeness (which is a real smell you know). Flavour is just delicious, so complex, yet so drinkable. Sweet malty complexities upfront are balanced by a dry bite in the finish, subtle hop aspects and some smoke. Biscuity as I would expect, something I love about dark lagers. Mouth-feel is amazing, velvety smooth, it just slides right down and I have to restrain myself from drinking it all in a minute. Balance is perfect, it actually gets better with every sip. This is the ideal Dopplebock. I need an ornate fountain of this flowing 24/7 in my room. Let it warm a bit so it can really reveal itself to you! Thanks again Matt!

Since I have never had Andechser Doppelbock Dunkel nor Weltenburger Kloster Asam Bock I have to say this is absolutely my favorite beer. Aroma, appearance, taste, palate and overall perfect. (Had to re-reate because Andech’s beats it out!)
