Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

not as good as Aventinus or Salvator but still hits the spot in a pinch.

More complex than I would have imagined. Great aroma. The beer coats the inside of your mouth. Not overpowering, coffee and toffee notes at the end. Not too much alcoholic bite at the end. I usually dont enjoy dark beers but this was amazing. This beer lives up to its reputation.

I really enjoyed this beer. My first experience with a Dopplebock, and I was highly impressed.

A very deep burgandy color with a gorgeous frothy head. So full bodied and so malty. Similar to others’ ratings, I find this to have some sweet brown sugar/coffee tones. Very creamy, very nice. This beer is really tasty and has a lot to offer the beer geek community.

If the smell and apperance alone made up the beer’s rating this would be a 5. This however still gets REAL high marks. Excellent beer. Malty, nice not too strong alcohol taste. A strange mixture of sweetness and hoppy bitterness. Very rich though. If you want to get drunk, look elsewhere. If you want an amazing beer. Here ya go.

A little bit sweet, but a very excellent doppelbock.

Oh man... this was only the second dopplebock I tried and it was so very, very good. I'm a fan of the dark brews and this is one of the kings. So smooth, not overpowering yet not weak. A little malty, but everything is just balanced wonderfully.

A Christmas gift from my secret Santa. Smells like dates, ruby in color, dark chocolate and alcohol flavor (which are both good for me)--very fine pour indeed, great for wasseling.
