Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Easily the best readily available dopple out there. Excellent in all catagories and a cool little plastic goat to play with. What more could you want?

Finished off with this one, and I must say it was incredible. Medium head, and leaves a nice lace on the glass. Alcohol is apparent, but not overpowering. Very full flavor, with one coming right after another. Fairly dry finish, and also a bit malty for the style. A definite top ten.

Worth the hype as far as I'm concerned. Pours a dark ruby-brown color with a tan head that diminishes quickly, but leaves lacing. Smokey, soy sauce overtone with a nice bite on the tongue. Too bad this was $14 a 6...

Nice deep brown with reddish hues. Small fine head with good lacing. Nice rounded coffee flavor with the right touch of bitterness. A very good doppelbock!

Deep dark brown with ruby edges.Tan foamy head. Plums, carmel, alcohol, toffee in nose and flavor. Better as it warms. A bit over carbonated, I recommend a hard pour. Quite a treat.

This beer is amazing on so many levels, I just don't know what to say about it. Very dark with garnet highlights and big frothy head. Sweet malty flavors swimming in there with many other notes, which I can't identify plenty of. I can see the complexity and drinkability help it stand out as a beer of this caliber. I feel extremely privelaged to have had a bottle of Germany's top beer. I'll seek this one out again next time I'm in memphis. Scrumptiliously marvelous.

This is a really nice doppelbock (thanks legion242). Malty, pleasing aroma - the comfort food of beer. Dark, dark brown with off-white head. Smooth, pleasing palate. Wonderful taste (even my wife enjoyed this) with nice finish. Well-balanced - would definitely drink again.

Bottled: Aroma is intensiv malty with notes of nut, molasses and roasted malt. Dark brown color, big, brownish fluffy head. Flavor with a velvety, light thickly texture and a light sourly, tannin feeling. Flavor is although nutty, malty, sugary and light roasty. Fruity alcohol notes. Quite astringent end with a light roasty bitterness. Coffe notes in the end. A very fine brew, complex, well balanced.
