Commercial Description:
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year's aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Enjoyed from Bottle. Pours with a nice head. Full bodied. Flavors of Malt and Espresso - very complex. Perfect dyness to the finish. One of the best Doppelbocks around.

Since I have never had Andechser Doppelbock Dunkel nor Weltenburger Kloster Asam Bock I have to say this is absolutely my favorite beer. Aroma, appearance, taste, palate and overall perfect. (Had to re-reate because Andech’s beats it out!)

Good dark color, nice hint of red when held to light. No haze. Not much of a head on this, but that is to be expected with this much alcohol. Malt and alcohol aroma!! Nice Munich malt aroma. Not much of a hop aroma, but with this that is to be expected. Malt sweetness upfront and nice alcohol warming in the finish. I love the taste of Munich Malt!!! No hop bitterness, only there to balance the sweetness. Nice mouthfeel, full almost chewy! This beer has a huge malt bill and it shows in mouthfeel! This is a world class beer!

Re-rate 4/17/02: Deep malt/molasses nose. Super smooth palate. Ends slightly sweet. First rating: I can't believe that they got so much flavor in one bottle. Hmmmm...

Excellent beer. Great appearance, great taste. Probably the best I’ve had recently.

This is FANTASTIC! Excellent all around - rich creamy head, dark brown, slightly ruby color. Very well rounded flavor, rich and smooth - mild caramel tones, lightly smoky. What else can I say that hasn't already been said! A must-try beer if there ever was one.

Plums, figs, grapes...just a few of the flavors that make up the taste of this incredibly complex, delicious beer. Once poured and held up to the light, I was surprised to see it was almost opaque, with a very dark, cherry color. Despite its high alc. content, there was nary a scent of alcohol. Instead, I was instantly reminded of purple grape juice, with a hint of butterscotch. Incredibly smooth and tasty, I probably would have given this a 5, however I felt the carbonation was a little off. Nonetheless, I was quite impressed.

A very rich and malty brew. Terrific head and outstanding color. Caramel flavor is balanced well with chocolate and hops bitterness. Very smooth. My only complaint is when it was gone.
