DKTN (106), Mc Donald, Tennessee, USA Sep 1, 2007 Updated: Apr 19, 2008 11.2 oz. bottle. Nice dark ruby color with ample, creamy head. Tastes great with a meal or stand-alone. My favorite doppelbock.
jimmack34 (100), Ohio, USA Nov 19, 2008 Pours amber dark brown with white frothy head. Smells fruity and sweet with hints of chocolate and toffee. Tastes tart, sweet, and malty, with some roasty, chocolate, fermented fruit, and a little bitterness. Pretty good. HonkeyBra (472), Lemont, Illinois, USA Nov 2, 2008 Crushed with TheDude. He said it would change my perspective and Doppelbocks. He was right. Deep Dark brown pour. Malty, fruity aroma. Delicious, roasty, caramel, slightly bitter hops. Big thick mouthfeel. Thanks Dude, this was totally awesome. taalhiker (145), Dayton, Ohio, USA Nov 2, 2008 From bottle. Part of February Dayton Beer Tasting event. Poured gorgeous deep brown with substantial tan head.
Aromas of malt, chocolate, and candied cherries. Very complex taste centered around its malty sweetness. Gets better as it warms up a little bit. Great effort. pressboxjoe (4), , New Jersey, USA does not count Nov 1, 2008 Bottle. Deep brown with thick, rich tan head. Earthy aroma of date nut bread and banana peel. Creamy, roasted caramel flavor, cappuccino, bitterness fades into sweetness.
