Ayinger Hell

Pale yellow of color with a light white head. An aroma of malt, sweets and hops notes. A flavor of malt, grass, hops and sweet notes. A bitter finish.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also, but the foam disappears very fast. Starts sourish and a little bit sweet. Drinkable, but the finish is too sourish.

On tap at Brasserie Tresznjewski, Munich. Buttery. Sweet taste of orange and citrus. Spicy also. Creamy.

Draft from the barrel at the Speis und Trank in Munich. This was surprisingly flavorful to me, had a spicy character and noticeable hops lending a sweet overtone. Very flavorful while remaining light and easily drinkable. Very smooth and creamy in the mouth. Aroma was mild with sweet malt mingling with noticeable hallertau hops. Appearance was hard to judge being in a stone stien, but had a big foamy white head.

From a barrel at the Munich, Ayinger tap 0,5ltr: Just like the kellerbier, but easier on taste.

Beer 60 Summer 2006 trip in Europe. Drank on 7/11/06 at the little restaurant next to the train station in Aying near the brewery. Decent overall brew.

Bottle: Copper golden clear color with a white creamy head. Sweet hoppy aroma. Swwet grassy hoppy flavor with a bitter finish.

Draft from the barrel. My favorite munchen style helles with the perfect balance of sweet, malt, hops.
