| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 25, 2004 Pours bright and beautiful, the color of a desert at sunrise ... no, just kidding. It’s a bright, clear gold color with a creamy, white head. The aroma is malty and slightly lagery-sour. Flavor is sweet malt with a clean, bitter finish. Not a bad beer ... not great, though. It certainly doesn’t live up to the lofty commercial description. jewedekind (450), Middleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 19, 2004 Pours a creamy white head that vanishes to a pale film. Hazy straw color. Not the prettiest beer. Aroma of honey and malt. Taste is certainly there. Long on malt like only the Germans can seem to master. A crisp note at the end that says "Tettanger"...to me at least. barleyPops (1081), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA
