Commercial Description:
In October, each year we celebrate Kirta-Halbe. 1999 was a very special year because we opened our handsome new brewery and Beer Adventure on October 15, one day before Kirta-Halbe. Our Ayinger Kirta-Halbe label, by Dieter Hanitzsch shows Bavarian Minister President Dr. Edmund Stoiber with our own Bräu von Aying, Franz Inselkammer in front of the new brewery. For the opening, Mr. Stoiber addressed more than 1000 friends, customers and community leaders .

On tap. Pours a med. amber with a long lasting white froth. Nice lacing. The aroma is freshly baked biscuits along with a really nice spicy hop note. The body is med. with a good level of CO2. The flavors are soo smooth. Lots of caramel and toast. Some spice but the malt plays the main role here. What a beer. What a condition to have it. Amazing. I wish I could brew a marzen this good.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts spicy, fresh, reminds me of gouda-cheese for a short moment. Yeasty-spicy finish, not too dry. Well done!

Foxy-orange beer, clear, with a small cream-beige coloured head. Bottom of bottle shows scary UFO’s, but they stick to their place. Earthy-leafy nose, with some caramel apparent. Strange extra aroma, as from the frying fat from roast fowl. Leafy, earthy flavours and pretty bitterish from beautiful continental noble hops; fine and delicate and tasty at the same time. Finishing dry-bitter, and still leaving an impression of fruitiness behind. Another one with amazing balance. Warming up, this roast-fat creeps into the taste as well. Light to medium bodied, well-carbonated, slight slickness. Wow, joss, this ranks amongst the best from the already famous Ayingerbräu. Excellent beer, even bottled, wish I could taste this one from the Zwickelhahn one day.
