Tried this one at a pub in Rochester NY, and I got to say, I was not disappointed at all. Poured a nice cloudy, copper/yellow color with a white head. immediately I was struck by the banana bread-like smell and taste, though it was not as strong as some other hefeweizen’s I’ve tried. i see it’s listed as 3.2 ABV but the one I had was 5.2 ABV, must be cause I got it in the states.

As expected, a little watery when compared to their other brews. However, for 3.2 ABV this is a very nice beer. Feels like it would go down well on a hot summer day. Bit fruity aroma, rather crisp. Flavor certainly lacks any real nature, but follows the aroma quite well. No real finish and feels very light.

Bottle from freezer - oops, the head is huge! Probably because of me. Hazy orange colour, surprising. Looks like mead. Nice honey aroma, a bit spring in it as well. Quite nice, very refreshing bear at least when enjoyed this cold. I wouldn’t say it’s watery. A bit short finish though.

Light yellow with lots of fluffy white head. Cloudy. Strong wheat and hop aroma. Tastes wheaty and spicy. Then the taste changes to pumpkin and cinnamon, and kind of a light sweet aftertaste. Good mouthfeel, pretty thick for a wheat beer, but not too meaty for the style.

Cloudy orange beer with a big, white and persistent head. Wheaty aroma with some fruity notes. The falavours are dominated by wheat, but there are are the typical fruity notes of the style, with an unexpected herbal flavour. esdpecially in the finish, that is not very good. The body is thin. Not best best from this good brewery, but a decent beer, especially if you consider that is a light beer.

Hazy deep golden colour with a large dense white head. Malty, fruity aroma with a light floral note. Malty, sweet fruity flavor with a light dry and floral finish.
