Creamy warm bread and subtle spice notes, blaze through a bowl of cheerios and granola. Not bad. Pours a glowing, brazen copper, with a voluminous cloud head. Rich, succulent grains, dappled with earthen products, sweet and dry. Some grape leaf, brown rice. Fresh and crisp, with softness. Mouthfeel is rightly balanced. A classic in the style. tomciccateri (496), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA

This is awesome and delicious. I have conquered this beer style at long last. Ayinger does it right. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 12, 2007 Typical amber pour just like any other Oktoberfest. Not much in the way of a head though.
Yeasty, smoky smell with a touch of hoppiness to it.
Very smooth taste to this Oktoberfest. I usually compare all other Oktoberfests with the Paulaner offering and this is pretty close. Not quite what the Paulaner has in taste but this isn’t bad at all.
Very sessionable beer here. I could drink lots of these watching a football game or out on the porch on a cool fall day. mar (1804), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 13, 2007 From a 500mL Bottle. Pours a transparent brassy amber color with a thick head of soapy off-white. Sweet, bready malt nose with notes of toasted bread crusts, grainy bran muffin, and brazil nut flesh. No estery characters, but displays that clean, almost metallic nose common to many lager yeasts. Light bodied, with a shimmering carbonation that creates a melting, soft texture to the lagery dryness of the beer. Delightful malty flavors of nutty caramel, devoid of any unnecessary sugar sweetness. Bready, biscuity, nutty, baked muffin flavors, with only a gentle kiss of spicy hops in the final smack. Classic o-fest; meets every expectation.
