kevin62 (267), New Jersey, USA Sep 23, 2007 Had this on draft.Poured an orange color witha thin white head.Aromas of malt, spices, and wheat. There was all those aromas present in the flavors as well as some caramel, and heavy malt.Great one. rotoguru (93), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Sep 22, 2007 Pours amber with white thick airy head that thins. Very good amber ale, with smooth finish. malrubius (969), Valley Stream, New York, USA Sep 22, 2007 500 ml in pint glass. Bright amber with nice off-white head. Caramel and grass aroma. Exceptional smooth mild caramel flavor. Mild pleasant bitter finish. The best Oktoberfest I’ve had by far. thoramel (39), USA Sep 21, 2007 Not a big lager fan and even less of an octoberfest fan but tried this beer because a friend raved about it. And I must say, its pretty good. big foamy head and a dark gold color. A fruity aroma pleasently presents itself. the taste is somewhat like a wheat beer and a dopplebock with a yeasty finish. Agood beer from a great brewery. Drjohnrock (95), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Sep 20, 2007 500 ML bottle from Cork ’N Bottle. Cloudy orange color, sweet malty aroma, good head retention with minimal lacing, good toasted malt flavor with some complexity and banana and yeasty notes. At first it tastes like an attempt to cross a hefeweizen with a marzen but the fruit-like components of the taste diminish as the glass warms. Nice brew. RSRIZZO (1345), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 20, 2007 Had this beer on 10/15/1998. Color is orange with ok carbonation and head. Aroma is thick and rich. Taste is a lot like most October Fests. Body is medium / heavy and goes down thick. Finish is a sweet malt flavor. Reid (1085), Salem, Oregon, USA Sep 19, 2007 500ml bottle, great Ayinger bottle cap!
Clear amber lager, with a large eggshell white head, that its thick and luxuriant. Nice carbonation strings.
Great creamy toffee malt aromas, slightly toasty.
Malty semi-sweet caramel start, longer semi-bitter finish and a slight hint of hops in the after taste
Very nice palate, just rolls over the tongue , but is not in the least boring. But makes for a drinkable brew indeed. sblair (37), SD, California, USA Sep 18, 2007 OnTap Hamiltons. Light Amber color. Light caramel with a present roasty malt flavor, Crisp finish and aftertaste that last. Very delicious beer!
