Commercial Description:
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Bottle. Pours a very nice amber/gold orange with a nice creamy head. Aroma is caramel, with a good amount of spicy bread. Like a holiday cookie or something. Nice flavor makes me long to drink this out of a giant boot.

Had this fresh at the tap room in Munich and I have had oxidized bottles. I will rate the tap room verison outstanding. Page 33 of MJ’s GBG only 199 of his Classic 500 Brews to go.

Good malty flavor: more bitter than Brooklyn Lager, sweeter than Spaten’s maerzen. A great Vienna style lager.

Draft at the Munchen resturaunt. This bier was a great change from the Hofbrau we had been drinking. I would recommend trying this beer if you are ever in Munchen. Take a visit through the Hofbrauhuis across the street but drink at the Ayinger resturaunt.

Orange/gold, with a sweet bready flavor and a smooth finish. A worthwhile beer. I’d pick it up again.

Bottle. Poured amber in color with a creamy, off-white head that settle to a thin cover and left light lacing. The aroma was of caramel, spices, and a light roast. The flavor found chocolate and spices. Light body with a malty aftertaste. Nicely enjoyable.
