Malty carmalish aroma as with most oktoberfest beers. This is one of the best Oktoberfests I have tried. Better balanced than most. Has a spicy flavor and sweet roasted malty tone. Smooth dry finish. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 11, 2006 Poured a orange tinted amber from the bottle with a then lacing white head. I didn’t notice any aroma whatsoever, which was disappointing. Initial flavor was pleasing though, slightly roasted malt flavor, carmel and apple flavors. Finish is clean but citrus. Great seasonal beer. If it had any semblence of an aroma it would be a home run. bdjames29 (272), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Perfect sweet malty concoction. Very subtle hop addition. Very palatable - very smooth. Perfect finish. A Marzen done as good as it will get. A deinite repeat purchase. My full rec. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 8, 2006 Bottle. Pours orange with a frothy off-white head that mostly diminishes, some spotty lacing. Aroma is nutty malt (meal, cereal, straw), yeast (dough) and fruit (pear, apricot). Medium sweet malt and yeast flavor, fruity with hops and a medium acidity and bitterness. Medium bodied, dry and slightly spicy palate. Funknmilla (577), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA
