Commercial Description:
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Clear light amber body with a small frothy off-white head. Sweet dark malt aroma with a touch of spice. Very sweet light caramel and dark malt flavor.

On tap @ WL Beford Hts., 16 oz tapered mug: Very cloudy light amber w/ a lasting, well lacing, off white head. Aromas of bready malts, raisiny fruits from mix of malts and fermentation, clean of other off aromas. Well balanced overall, clean, lightly sweet finish, with toasty malt flavor throughout lasting into the aftertaste. Low carbonation level, smooth medium body. Not my favorite O fest, but likeable enough!

Bottle Pours a caramel tan with a off-white head. The aroma is of bready malts with a hint of sweetness. The flavor is very clean. The malts of course come through strongly, but are not overbearing. Just a hint of spiciness, but not much. A very mellow Oktoberfest.

Copper, clear, with a huge eggshell head. Clean, malty aroma. Very bready, toasty sweet smells, too. Flavor is caramelly and toasty, with notes of dark bread, too.

Pours a rich copper with tall, persistant off-white head. Nutty aroma. Good malty flavor without being unbalanced or too heavy. Smooth finish. Like an amber ale without the hops; not a complex beer but one well suited for its purpose.

bottle. tastes kind of oxidized. must have been sitting a long time at the store before purchasing. Aroma of slight chocolate as well as malt comes through, also something a bit off. Taste is light chocolate, light toasted malt, sweet caramel, and slightly stale.

Pours to a orangey body with a white head. Nice lacing. The aroma is honey and nice toasty malts. The flavor is floral hops, honey malts, toasted malts. The palate is dry and lingeringly bitter.

Clear amber body with lots of carbonation under a small white head. Apple fruit, toasty malt, and some oxidation in the aroma. Light toasty malt, green grape skin, red apple, and a suprisingly chocolately finish. Tasty but it seems a bit stale.
