Commercial Description:
Ayinger Oktober Fest Märzen has a deep golden color tinted with amber. It is lightly sweet with a malty nose balanced with floral hops. Its medium to big body and alcohol is not overpowering. The soft dryness comes from long maturation.

Clear amber body with lots of carbonation under a small white head. Apple fruit, toasty malt, and some oxidation in the aroma. Light toasty malt, green grape skin, red apple, and a suprisingly chocolately finish. Tasty but it seems a bit stale.

Slightly hazy amber. Yellowish off-white creamy head. Sweet malty grains in aroma. Flavor follows along with a light hop character. Very nicely sweet grains and overall character.

light copper color w/ a big thick foamy white head and lots of visable carbonation. Malt rich carmel aroma some floral hop notes and an odd dirt sence. Palate is smooth fairly nice bodied well coated. Flavor is very smooth a wheatish grain flavor w/ a sweet light carmel flavor and hints of honey and a dry finish. Pretty good Okt.

Served a light-hazed, honey/copper with a tight, white head that leaves ragtag streamers of lace. Sweetly malted aroma which carries through to the flavor as honeyed pale malts with just enough hops to add a bitter citrus lift to the finish. Tingly, finishing dry, and sessionably dangerous.

I thought this was very good for the style. Pours a hazy amber. Malty aroma. Flavor of malt with hints of fruit and caramel. Nutty flavor and easy to drink. Tasty brew, I could drink a lot of this.

I think this was a bottle not stored well. The pour was great, nice orange color with a very generous and fluffy head that provided great lacing with foamy fingers. The aroma was somewhat skunky, although after a few minutes, I picked up some light spices. The flavor was like a cheap green bottled European import lager with some extra hopping and bready maltiness. Overall, very disappointing, as this wasn’t near my top oktoberfest experiences. Will have to try this one on draft in Munich one day to make up for what was likely a casualty of importation (even in a brown bottle).

500 ml bottle. Golden amber was a little hazier than I had expected. Nice big head that stayed around. Aromas were the expected malts with vanilla and some caramel. Bready too. Some smokiness on the flavor that was pretty nice. Other roasted malts in there...more bread, not a lot of hop bite, but enough to give it a slightly bitter aftertaste. Pretty good for a syle i’m not a huge fan of...

Bottle from Bev Mo La Mesa. Beer poured a medium golden color. The head was white and very big! Aroma and flavor were mostly malty with some hops and fruit.
